Abu Coffee is a project that speaks of continuity, patience and respect for coffee. Behind this name is Hacienda Cañas Verdes , a farm in Boquete that, since 2017, has become a benchmark for top coffees in Panama. José and Bibiana Luttrell have built here not just a farm, but a clear vision of what high-level coffee means, with internationally recognized results.
The name Abu Coffee is a tribute to José Guillermo Luttrell Tedman, the third generation of coffee producers in the family. “Abu” — short for abuelo — was the name his grandchildren called him, and this coffee carries on the legacy of a man who deeply loved Boquete and exceptional quality coffee.
Processing – Double Phase Anaerobic Washed
This Geisha is processed through a two-stage anaerobic fermentation , a highly precise method used to achieve clarity, structure and aromatic complexity. The controlled fermentation emphasizes the finesse of the variety without obscuring the coffee's identity or character. The result is an elegant, clean and very well-defined cup.
Sensory profile
In the cup, this Geisha is delicate and refined. Floral notes of jasmine blend with stone fruit, nectarine and green apple, complemented by subtle green tea accents. The body is reduced but very clean, the sweetness is high, and the taste has a clarity that persists elegantly in the aftertaste.
