Jardines del Eden Yellow Gesha Washed
Jardines del Eden Yellow Gesha is an exceptional Colombian coffee, the result of the work and dedication of Felipe Arcila. With a rare variety – Yellow Gesha – and a washed processing process that highlights the natural essence of the beans, this coffee is known for its delicate, floral and fruity aromas, being sought after by specialty coffee enthusiasts.
Yellow Gesha
The Gesha coffee variety originates from Ethiopia and is prized for its complex and delicate aromas, including floral, jasmine and tropical fruit notes. Most Gesha cherries turn red when ripe, but Yellow Gesha is a rare variety, recognized by its yellow fruit. This particularity contributes to its unique flavor profile, bringing a natural sweetness and delicate fruity notes. At Jardines del Eden , Yellow Gesha is grown at high altitudes, where the climate and soil enhance these subtle characteristics, transforming it into a unique and aromatic experience.
Washed Processing
To allow the natural flavor of the coffee to shine through, Yellow Gesha undergoes a traditional washing process. After harvesting, the cherries are dehulled, the mucilage removed, and then carefully washed. The washing process imparts a clean acidity and light body to the coffee, highlighting the floral and fruity aromas characteristic of Yellow Gesha .
Profile and Tasting Experience
Yellow Gesha Washed offers a balanced combination of flavors and a unique taste. Jasmine and citrus notes are complemented by subtle hints of tropical fruit (starfruit) and a fresh acidity. Its light, tea-like body is ideal for brewing methods that enhance flavors, such as infusions, allowing each layer of flavor to unfold in every sip. This coffee is the perfect choice for those seeking an elegant and nuanced tasting experience, reflecting the biodiversity and quality of Colombian specialty coffees.
