Here, we roast with intention. We build communities. We tell stories of origins. And in everything we do, quality remains the value that defines us.

Who are we?

Bogdan Georgescu – national champion and world vice champion in coffee roasting (World Coffee Roasting Vice Champion, Taipei 2019).
Marius Beju – a communications and branding man, with a clear vision for building living brands.

Together, we founded MABÓ — a project that unites technique and aesthetics, curiosity and empathy, simplicity and depth.

But behind us there is always the real force: family . It is the one that balances us, inspires us, and reminds us every day why we do what we do — for people.

Beyond MA and BO

MABÓ means more than "MA" and "BO".

We are a team of passionate people who roast, prepare, package, and create experiences every day with the same attention and joy.

Each person on the team contributes to what is felt in the cup — energy, care, and the MABÓ spirit.

We are the only roastery in Romania that was nominated and awarded at The European Coffee & Hospitality Awards , reaching the Top 3 best specialty coffee roasters in Europe .

This recognition confirms what motivates us every day: attention to detail, respect for origin and the desire to put coffee roasted in Romania on the world map of excellence.

What are we doing?

We roast specialty coffee, in carefully selected batches, from transparent and sustainable farms. We do it locally, in the heart of Bucharest, at MABÓ Roastery Vulturi — and we offer it in:

partner cafes in Romania and abroad
online, here on mabo.coffee, delivered wherever you are

The character MABÓ

You've probably noticed it on our packaging.

He lives in each of us.

It's curious, changeable, sometimes quiet, sometimes full of energy — but always present, in every moment when a good coffee brings meaning to a day.

The character MABÓ is about you:

— the curious, energetic one, always in search of the perfect taste.

Graphically created to embody the MABÓ customer , the character has many faces and moods, just like us. Today he discovers a coffee from Colombia, tomorrow a vibrant Ethiopia — and each choice becomes a part of a whole.

Viewed separately, the packages tell different stories, but together, they reveal unity: the same search for taste, emotion and balance.

Just as each of us is made up of many versions, they all carry the same essence — the joy of a carefully made coffee .
